LG: hmmm....Grandpa is the leader of the newspaper company.
BG: Is that true? Is he the leader of the whole company?
LG: No, not really.
BG: What is he?
LG: He is the leader of the, just the newspaper... what is newspaper.
BG: well, he is the executive editor of the newspaper, that is a pretty big deal.
LG: I don't even know what that means.
BG: It means that he is responsible and in charge of the entire operation of the newspaper.
LG: oh...ah, i still don't understand.
BG: ok, a newspaper is like a book, only it comes out everyday with stories about what is happening in the neighborhood and the world. people read it to find out what is going on. so it is a lot of work to get all that in the paper in time for people to read it. you buy it at stands or boys often deliver it to your house in the morning or afternoon.
LG: I mostly know that boys come around and throw newspapers on your doorstep.
BG: yeah, anyway, your grandpa has a big job now being in charge. that is pretty cool.
LG: Yeah, is grandpa famous now?
BG: Kind of...

That's exciting news about your grandpa. It's great to have a person with such great moral character to be in a leadership position.
LG, I will have to take you on a little field trip to my newspaper so you can see the big printing press and how the newspaper is made every day. I will let you see how stories are written and pictures are taken and how they are put on pages and the pages are put together into a whole newspaper and how the newspaper is then sent to people who want to buy it. Does that sound like fun?
This is my first time at this sight...had I known before this past weekend it was here, I'd be checking every day. This is great. Keep the posts coming!
